Chuck Contee scored 24 points, including 17 in a second-half rally, but the McDaniel College men's basketball team came up short in a 75-66 loss to Gettysburg Wednesday night inside the Gill Center.
The Green Terror (13-11, 3-9 CC) fell behind by 11 at halftime, 40-29, after shooting just 34.6 percent from the floor and allowing 22 points in the paint.
Led by Contee, McDaniel cut what was a 14-point deficit with 9:19 remaining in the second half, down to three, 63-60, on a floating jump shot in the paint by Contee with 5:05 left.
However, Gettysburg (19-5, 10-2 CC) answered with a 12-2 run over the next four minutes to push the lead back to 13, going 7-of-8 from the free throw line and limiting the Green Terror to just one field goal on five attempts.
