BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The McDaniel College women's swimming team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Moravian on the road, 173-69.
The Green Terror began the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of first-year
Marisa Otero, first-year
Yente Bouwmeester, senior
Mackenzie Skelton, and junior
Kaylie Wolf clocked in with a time of 2:08.51.
Bouwmeester then won the 200-yard freestyle at 2:17.72 and Otero claimed the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:09.21. Wolf won the 50-yard freestyle in 27.63 seconds, beating out sophomore
Eleanor Virgilio who took second in 27.96 seconds.
Bouwmeester and Otero claimed victories in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke, respectively, and first-year
Alyssa Hain won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:54.49.
Hain took another win in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:09.35.
The relay team of Hain, Otero, Virgilio, and Wolf closed out the day with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:55.57.
The win marked the second in-a-row in the series for the Green Terror, as they defeated the Greyhounds 65-28 at Harlow Pool on Nov. 23, 2024.
The Green Terror will host an in-state clash with St. Mary's of Maryland and Hood in the team's home opener on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. inside Harlow Pool.
