MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The McDaniel College volleyball team fell to Penn State Harrisburg 3-0 on Saturday in the team's final non-conference road match of the year.
The Green Terror (8-7) have dropped the last two in the series with the Nittany Lions (11-4) after winning the first four matchups in series history dating back to 2013.
McDaniel battled in a back-and-forth opening set, scoring three straight points late to tie the set at 20-20. A kill and an ace gave the lead back to the Nittany Lions, who would close out the opener with a 25-22 win.

Samantha Fadel cut the deficit to one midway through, but the Nittany Lions kept McDaniel at bay to take the second set, 25-20.
Penn State Harrisburg jumped out to an 11-3 lead to start the third, eventually growing the lead to 18-5 following a service error. McDaniel benefited from three straight Nittany Lions errors and cut the lead down to 10, but Penn State Harrisburg scored three of the final four points of the set to win 25-13 and sweep the match.

Kailey Young totaled 10 kills on 24 swings to lead the Green Terror, while Carson tallied eight and sophomore

Kaitlyn Saidat combined for three blocks while Fadel and Buttons combined for 30 digs. Sophomore
Kaylee Comstock led the team with 14 assists.
The Green Terror begin conference play on Wednesday when they host Franklin & Marshall at the Gill Center starting at 7 pm.
