WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Led by three top 10 finishes, the McDaniel College men's golf team won the team title in the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at Waynesboro Country Club on Sunday.
With a 582, the Green Terror won by one stroke over host and Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg. McDaniel entered the final round with a three-stroke lead and totaled a 295 while the Bullets shot a 293. Gettysburg's B team finished in a tie for third with Dickinson at 584 while Franklin & Marshall came in fifth with a 585.
McDaniel won its sixth Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic championship, the most in the event's 14-year history, and first since 2019. The team's 582 was the second lowest in the history of the event while its first-round 287 was tied for the lowest single-round total.
Gettysburg's Nick Conti won the individual title with a 5-under 139. He tied with teammate Andrew Ekstrom, but was declared the winner on a match of cards after finishing the back nine at even par today compared to 1-over for Ekstrom.
The Green Terror placed three players in the top 10 led by senior
Charlie Dolan and senior
Ethan Crabb who each finished fifth with a 144. Senior
Sean Kelly placed eighth with a 145.
Dolan shot a 4-over par 76 after a 4-under 68 in the first round. He had 10 pars and two birdies. Crabb carded a 1-over 73 after shooting a 1-under par 71 on Saturday. He had 14 pars and an eagle on the par-4, 348-yard 13th hole.
Kelly had a 2-under par 70 on Sunday which included seven pars and six birdies. He was 3-under through the front nine with four pars and four birdies.
First-year
Dylan Muso finished 24th after totaling a 5-over par 145 which included a 4-over par 76 in Sunday's final round.
First-year
Jack Manfre rounded out the A team with an 82 and finished the 36-hole event with a 167. First-year
Max Doane, playing as an individual, carded an 80 to finish with a 164.
The McDaniel B team finished 16th with a two-day 641 which included a final round 324. First-year
Braden Paris, sophomore
Chase Oatman, and first-year
Keagan Graves each carded an 80 in the final round. Paris placed 43rd with a 154 while Oatman and Graves each totaled a 162, one stroke ahead of sophomoreÂ
Sam Telljohann.
Sophomore
JT Krynock totaled a 170.
McDnaiel concludes the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule next Sunday and Monday, October 19-20 at The The Melee in Williamsburg, VA at Ford's Colony Country Club.
