WESTMINSTER, Md. - The McDaniel College men's tennis team dropped its home opener of the 2024-25 season to Division I Mount St. Mary's on Friday at the Warfield Tennis Courts, 9-0.
The Green Terror (0-2) suffered their first loss in the last three home matches dating back to last season.

Drew Ryder earned the team's lone point at No. 1 doubles, falling to Filippos Zachiotis and Ian Ramirez, 8-1.
With McDaniel trailing 3-0 after doubles, Neal battled Oscar Castro at No. 1 singles, taking three first-set points before falling 6-3, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, seniorÂ
Quinn Dietsche lost the first set before winning three points in the second in a 6-0, 6-3 loss to Joshua Johnson.
Ryder won a point in each set at No. 2 singles, but fell to Andrew Allen, 6-1, 6-1.
McDaniel returns to action on Saturday at Arcadia beginning at 1 p.m.
