WESTMINSTER, Md. - Senior
Emma Legacy had three goals and four points as the McDaniel College women's lacrosse team fell to No. 6 Gettysburg at Gill Stadium Wednesday, 21-5.
The Green Terror (6-10, 1-7 CC) trailed by just one, 4-3, following a goal by sophomore
Addison Utterback with 12:41 remaining in the second quarter.
However, the Bullets scored the game's next 15 goals with
Jordan Basso scoring three and
Caroline Sullivan adding two goals and two assists.
Gettysburg (14-2, 8-0 CC) held McDaniel scoreless for a span of 31:58 before freshman
Emma Carpenter ended the drought with her eighth goal of the season with 11:24 left in the fourth quarter.
Legacy finished off her 11th hat-trick of the season with her third goal of the game with 4:37 to play. She has scored at least three goals in each of the last five games and now has 42 this season.
The Bullets out-shot the Green Terror 34-14 and won 23-of-30 draw controls. They were also 5-for-5 on free-position shots.
Sophomore
Caleigh Kohr finished with eight saves, including five in the first quarter. She also had three ground balls.
McDaniel concludes the 2024 season on Saturday when it hosts Washington College at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
