WESTMINSTER, Md. - Graduate student
Brighton Lorber made a season-high 21 saves as the McDaniel College men's lacrosse fell to Ursinus Saturday at Gill Stadium, 12-4.
The Green Terror (7-4, 0-3 CC) faced a season-high 59 shots and limited the Bears to a .203 shooting percentage.
Lorber's counterpart, Jonathan Singer made 16 saves while Philip Goldfarb made three in his first action of the season for the Bears as three goalies faced 96 shots and combined for 40 saves.
Saturday marked the ninth time in Lorber's career that he totaled at least 20 saves. His career high is 26, a mark that he has set twice, including against Ursinus in a meeting at Gill Stadium on May 1, 2021.
Lorber limited Ursinus to just six goals on 29 first-half shots as McDaniel trailed 6-1 at halftime. Two of the visitors' goals came on the man-advantage as they were 2-for-2 on extra-man opportunities.
The Bears (5-5, 1-1 CC) pushed their lead to 10 as they outscored the Green Terror 5-0 in the third quarter. Ursinus took 18 shots, won 4-of-6 face-offs and held a 10-2 advantage in ground balls in the quarter. Singer also stopped all five McDaniel shots on goal.

Carter Youtz and senior
AJ Johnson who all netted goals. Senior
Zach Micklos also picked up his second point of the contest with an assist to Youtz.
McDaniel returns to action next Saturday, April 6 in the first of back-to-back road games when the team heads to Muhlenberg. Face-off is at 7 p.m.
