GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Sophomore
Jane Walkinshaw was a part of two season-best times as the McDaniel College women's swimming team wrapped up competition at the 2024 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships at Gettysburg Sunday.
The Green Terror finished the four-day event in eighth place with a total of 121 points.
Walkinshaw began the day by setting a new season-best in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing under one minute for the first time this season with a time of 58.69 seconds. She was one of four from McDaniel to compete in the event.
In the finals, Walkinshaw partnered with junior
Amanda Thompson, freshman
Reagan Farris and sophomore
Mackenzie Skelton to finish eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a new season-best time of 3:59.33. They surpassed their previous time of 4:09.12 by almost 10 seconds.
Earlier in the day, Thompson and Skelton swam the 1,650-yard freestyle for the first time this season with Thompson finishing 14th in 19:13.30 and Skelton touching the wall in 21:42.13.
Meanwhile, junior
Tori McArthur finished 17th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 3:11.20.
