LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior
Amanda Thompson posted a time of 5:40.92 to secure a win in the 500-yard freestyle in a 181-61 loss for the McDaniel College women's swimming team on the road against Franklin & Marshall on Friday.
Thompson finished just four seconds behind the lead in the 200-yard individual medley, posting a final time of 2:25.81. She notched another second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 26.68 seconds. She led the relay team of senior

Georgia Cole won third place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:13.94. Walkinshaw barely missed first in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing just under two seconds behind the leader. Cole earned third in the 50-yard backstroke at 34.98 seconds, while sophomore
Britney Ramirez finished fifth.
Walkinshaw nabbed second place in two events; she ended up only three seconds out of first in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:01.66, and she recorded a time of 29.27 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly, just two hundredths of a second behind first. Skelton and McArthur posted third and fourth finishes in the 100-yard butterfly with times of 1:14.89 and 1:17.58 respectively. McArthur and Hutchinson took third and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke while Skelton, Cole and Wolf settled for fourth, fifth and sixth in the 100-yard individual medley.
McDaniel returns to the pool in a road contest at Hood on Jan. 11 at 1 pm.
