WESTMINSTER, Md. - Senior
Amanda Thompson posted two individual wins to lead the McDaniel College women's swimming team in its home opener against Penn State Altoona Saturday.
The Green Terror (0-5)Â fell to the Nittany Lions, 74-21.
Thompson finished first in the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle. She finished the 500 free with a time of 5:41.87 and the first in the 1,000 free with a final time of 11:38.20.

Jane Walkinshaw earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:14.34, just two seconds off the lead. SophomoreÂ
Kaylie Wolf finished with a time of 28.51 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle to collect the second-place spot. Walkinshaw, Wolf, Skelton and Thompson finished second as a relay team in the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.Â
McDaniel returns to action next Saturday, Nov. 9 when they host a tri-match with Ursinus and Juniata beginning at 1 p.m.
