Jane Walkinshaw and senior
Amanda Thompson each picked up two wins for the McDaniel College women's swimming team in a road loss at Stevenson 155-91 Saturday afternoon.
Thompson led the Green Terror (0-8) in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle, taking first place with a time of 2:08.40 and winning comfortably by 22 seconds. She later won the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle by nearly 20 seconds, clocking in at 5:39.49.
Walkinshaw won the Women's 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:42.02, beating teammate
Mackenzie Skelton who earned a 2:57.71 time. She also won the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly, taking the event with a final time of 1:11.59.
Walkinshaw nabbed second place in the Women's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:22.07, while freshman
Georgia Cole claimed second in the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke, taking the spot with a time of 3:06.48, just six seconds off the lead. The relay team of Walkinshaw, Thompson and sophomores
Kaylie Wolf and
Eleanor Virgilio earned second place in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a final time of 1:50.70.
McDaniel returns home to Harlow Pool on Saturday to face Moravian at 1 pm.
