CHESTERTOWN, Md - The Green Terror fell to Washington College 45-149 in a dual meet. Senior Amanda Thompson leads with strong performances.
The 200 freestyle relay team of sophomore Kaylie Wolf, junior Jane Walkinshaw, freshman Nora Virgillio, and Thompson won with a time of 1:53.13. In the 200 yard medley relay, the team of freshman Mackenzie Leeson, freshman Georgia Cole, junior Mackenzie Skelton, and Wolf placed second with a time of 2:21.82.
Thompson placed second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:36.35. Thompson also placed third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.03.
In the 50 yard freestyle Walkinshaw placed third with a time of 26.98. Hutchinson placed fifth with a time of 39.84. Walkinshaw also took third in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:59.63.
Leeson placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:36.28. Sophomore Natalie Hutchinson swam 2:06.59 to place third. Cole would place fourth in 6:31.18. Cole placed fourth in the 200 yard IM in a time of 2:43.92.
In the 100 yard backstroke Skelton swam 1:15.04 to place third. Virgillio placed fourth in 1:21.11. Skelton also took fourth in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:28.16. Virgillio followed in fifth with a time of 2:31.37. Leeson placed sixth with a time of 2:46.61
Wolf placed fourth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.15. Hutchinson followed in fifth with a time of 1:34.90.
The McDaniel College Swim Team will be back in action on November 2nd against Penn State Altoona at home.
