SWARTHMORE, Pa. - No. 20 Swarthmore scored 15 first-half goals, including nine in the second quarter while racing out to a 13-goal halftime lead en route to a 24-11 win over the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team Saturday at Clothier Field Stadium.
The Green Terror (7-9, 0-7 CC) faced their fifth nationally-ranked opponent in the last seven games, including second on the road.
Sophomore
Jason Fritz led McDaniel with three goals and two assists. In his last three games since returning to the starting lineup against No. 12 Dickinson on April 12, he has led the team with 10 goals and 14 points.
Meanwhile, senior
Nick DeLoriers added four points with one goal and three assists as he continues to have the best offensive season of his career with 29 goals, 37 assists and 66 points, all career highs.

Three more goals to start the second gave the Garnet a 9-1 advantage before junior

Johnson netted his second hat-trick of the season and the second of his career. He had four goals in the team's 20-3 win at Juniata on April 4.

Both teams scored nine second-half goals, but the Green Terror could only get within 12 following a 4-0 run over the final five minutes of the third and first four minutes of the fourth quarter.
Senior
Zach Micklos matched his season high with three assists in the second half while senior
Logan Feuer finished with three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Graduate student
Brighton Lorber totaled 12 of his 20 saves in the second half and now has 222 for the season, just four shy of his career-best and moving him past Ron Cristy '72 for sixth on the program's single-season list.
McDaniel closes out its 2023 season next Friday, April 28 when it hosts Franklin & Marshall at 7 p.m. The team will wear throwback uniforms and recognize 1997 Western Maryland team that went 11-2, including 5-1 in the Centennial Conference under head coach Keith Reitenbach.
