GETTYSBURG, Pa. - McDaniel College women's swimming senior
Ella Tomkins closed out her college career by breaking the school record for the 200-yard butterfly twice on the final day of the Centennial Conference Swimming Championships.
Tomkins qualified for the finals of the 200 fly with a time of 2:11.58, breaking a 29-year old record set by Karen Alexander on Jan. 26, 1994 with a mark of 2:12.34.
In the finals, Tomkins broke the record again with a time of 2:10.91 to finish seventh, McDaniel's highest individual finish of the weekend.

Amanda Thompson to finish eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a season-best time of 3:47.88. Meanwhile, the team of senior
Emma Lindell, sophomore

Sarah Dunn and junior
Abby Cook also posted a season-best in the B final.
In the prelims, Cook posted a season-best in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:22.02 while Thompson and Farrington both posted season bests in the 100-yard freestyle.
As a team, McDaniel finished eighth with a total of 146 points at the 30th annual conference championship meet.
