WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel College women's lacrosse junior
Emma Miller scored four goals to lead 11 different scorers as the Green Terror posted a 15-1 victory over Goucher Saturday in their season opener at Gill Stadium.
With five points, Miller led McDaniel (1-0) to its fifth-straight home win against the Gophers and ninth overall.
Miller finished one goal and one point shy of her career highs in each. She scored a career-high five goals in an 18-16 win at Dickinson on Apr. 20, 2022 while she has scored six points in a game twice.
Miller had a hat trick in the game's first five minutes, scoring three of the first four goals as the Green Terror led 4-0 with 10:47 left in the first quarter.
McDaniel led 7-0 after the opening 15 minutes as five different players found the back of the net and the team held a 13-1 advantage in shots. In addition to Miller, senior

Julia Corry each had a goal and an assist with Corry netting her first career goal with 7:55 remaining.
The Green Terror added four more goals in the second, including the first career tally for freshman
Jordon Gambrill, to take an 11-0 halftime lead. Junior
Gaby Kohr also scored, finishing the first half with one goal and three assists.

Emily Sheppard capped the McDaniel scoring on a free-position goal with 5:52 to play in the fourth.
A total of 11 players scored a goal for the Green Terror who scored 15 goals on 25 shots. They also won 16 draw controls and picked up 23 ground balls. Sheppard totaled two goals, two ground balls and three caused turnovers while senior
Kendall Gracie added five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
McDaniel forced Goucher into 31 turnovers while amassing 19 caused turnovers. A total of 14 players had at least one caused turnover.
Three players saw action in the crease for the Green Terror with senior
Astrid Jensen earning her first career win in her first career start after making two first-half saves. Freshmen
Caleigh Kohr and
Emma Wood each saw action in the second half with Kohr picking up a ground ball.
McDaniel returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Shenandoah inside Gill Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.
