LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Amanda Thompson posted a win and two second-place finishes to lead the McDaniel College women's swimming team in a Centennial Conference dual meet at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.
The Green Terror took home one win and three second-place finishes as the Diplomats won the meet, 161-53.
Thompson won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:36.77 while placing second in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.79 seconds and second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.84.
Sophomore Jane Walkinshaw took third in the 100 free in 1:01.10 and freshman Ella Bowen finished fourth in the 200 free.
Walkinshaw also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.93 and freshman Reagan Farris followed in third with a time of 1:15.20.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Thompson, Walkinshaw, Farris and sophomore Mackenzie Skelton placed second with a time of 1:52.76. Individually, Skelton touched the wall third in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:43.56.
Skelton also placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:17.18 while junior Tori McArthur placed fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:30.96.
McDaniel will now take a break for the holiday before returning to action at home on Saturday, Jan. 13 in a dual meet against Hood.
