WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel College women's soccer junior Liz LeChard scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season in a 1-0 victory over Muhlenberg Saturday at the Soccer Complex on Senior Day.

With the win and Franklin & Marshall's 2-2 tie at Washington College Saturday, the Green Terror (10-2-5, 6-1-3 CC) earned the No. 3 seed in the 2023 Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Championship and will host sixth-seeded Dickinson on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

It will mark McDaniel's ninth appearance in the conference tournament and eighth-straight dating back to 2015.

LeChard tied junior Jessica Weinoldt for the team lead in goals and equaled her career high set a year ago when she also added one assist for a career-best nine points. All four of her goals this season have been game-winners.

LeChard, who has netted three goals in her last five games, scored the only goal, unassisted, on the game's second shot in the 10th minute. She also had the first shot of the game in the eighth minute that was saved by Sara Pecorelli.

The Green Terror registered all 18 shots in the contest, including 12 in the second half, as they held their opponent without a shot for the first time in 51 games, ironically, since a 2-0 victory over Muhlenberg at home on Sept. 18, 2021.

McDaniel also earned its 13th shutout in 17 games this season and sixth in-a-row, extending its shutout streak to 617:04. The team is currently ranked sixth in Division III in shutout percentage.

The win also gave the Green Terror 10 wins for the ninth time in 11 seasons under head coach Sandy Lagana Bly.

Pecorelli made 10 saves for the Mules (3-11-3, 1-8-1 CC).

Prior to the game, the team honored its 10 seniors in Grayson Jons, Elena Hincapie, Sydney Lewis, Brooke Windsor, Keyla Velasquez, Taylor Mazan, Allison Storm, Elaina Kluttz, Ashley Thomas and Liv McDermott.
