ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Muhlenberg scored 21 first-quarter points and led 35-0 at halftime en route to a 41-7 win over the McDaniel College football team Saturday in a Centennial Conference contest at Scotty Wood Stadium.

The Green Terror (1-3, 1-2 CC) outscored the Mules, 7-6, in the second half while totaling 159 yards of total offense and limiting Muhlenberg to 98.

Graduate student Dre Carter hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Eric Grinwis with 8:28 remaining in the fourth quarter as McDaniel turned a Mule fumble into seven points. The fumble was recovered by junior Mamut Conteh to set up the Green Terror's 5-play, 38-yard scoring drive.

After the only second-half scoring drive for the Mules with 6:37 to play in the third, the extra point was blocked by senior Mike Dunn, the first of his career, and the seventh blocked kick by McDaniel in the last three seasons.

Muhlenberg (2-2, 2-1 CC), who are receiving votes in both the American Football Coaches Association Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll and the D3football.com Top 25, scored on five of its first eight offensive possessions while adding a 16-yard fumble return for a score with just 22 seconds left in the second quarter.

Senior Sean Carter led the McDaniel offense with five receptions for 64 yards while junior Hunter Sigler also had five catches for 64 yards. Grinwis completed 17-of-28 passes for 162 yards and one score. The Green Terror threw for 204 yards as sophomore Jared Snow was 2-of-5 for 42 yards.
