• Ellie Connelly (Sharpsburg, Md./Boonsboro) added 10 points and three assists.
FOR THE FOES

• Carly Rice also reached the 20-point mark, adding seven rebounds and six assists.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Carly Rice staked Gettysburg to a 4-0 lead in the game's first 2:18 before a Maddie Thompson (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) hit a jumper with 7:27 on the clock to cut the deficit in half. Clinging to a 8-6 edge, Rice canned a pair of free throws – the only two attempts from the charity stripe by either team in the first half – to spark an 8-2 burst and open up a 16-8 lead. A Mallory Conroy (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) layup and Katie Klein (Port Charlotte, Fla./Imagine School at North Point) 3-pointer around a Mackenzie Tinner layup in the final 32 seconds closed the margin to 18-13 after one quarter.
• Buckets from three different players keyed an 8-0 start to the second quarter to build a 21-18 lead with 7:44 remaining. A Meggie Burgess 3-pointer stretched the Green Terror lead as large as 27-22 with 3:24 remaining but a pair of Rice triples gave the visitors a 28-27 edge at the break.
• The first five minutes of the third quarter was back-and-forth before a Mackenzie Szlosek 3-pointer with 3:22 remaining gave the Bullets the lead for good. Another Rice 3-pointer pushed the lead to 41-36 before Josey Klingenberg (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) closed the deficit to three in the final minute of the quarter.
• After Klein closed the margin to 41-40 just 21 seconds into the fourth quarter, Tinner hit a layup a minute later to spark a 12-2 run that pushed the lead to double digits for the first time with 4:18 remaining en route to the 12-point victory.
