WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel College women's swimming senior
Ella Tomkins had three second-place finishes as the Green Terror fell to Dickinson in a Centennial Conference dual meet Saturday at Harlow Pool.
In its home opener on Senior Day, McDaniel was edged by the Devils, 54-36.
Tomkins' best finish of the day came in the 200-yard individual medley where she finished second with a time of 2:23.82, just 0.10 seconds behind Dickinson's Caroline Wasielevski.
Tomkins also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.09 as was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, along with freshman
Jane Walkinshaw, senior
Ashley Farrington and sophomore
Amanda Thompson that finished second in 1:47.44.
Individually, Thompson touched the wall second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.94 seconds and finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:41.04.
Walkinshaw came in third in the 100 free in 1:00.08 while Farrington finished fifth in both the 1,000 free and 100-yard backstroke.
Freshman
Mackenzie Skelton posted two third-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 500-yard freestyle and a fourth-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle. Senior
Emma Lindell was third in the 200 free with a time of 2:13.72 and fourth in the 500 free.
The Green Terror return to action next Saturday, Nov. 5 with a tri-meet at Stevenson with the Mustangs and St. Mary's (Md.). The meet, which begins at 2:30 p.m., will be held at The McDonogh School in Owings Mills.
