Muhlenberg raced out to an 11-2 lead just 6:28 into the game to key an 83-52 win over McDaniel.

• Charles Contee (Hungtingtown, Md./Huntingtown) led the Green Terror with 13 points off the bench.

• Nicholas Chudy paced the Mules with 15 points as one of three players in double figures.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a Tommy McGuire 3-pointer to open the scoring nearly two minutes into the game, Josh Sproul (Princess Anne, Md./Washington Academy) responded with a layup. Back-to-back Justin Allen layups sparked a run of 13 straight points to build a 15-2 lead with 11;19 to play in the opening half. Muhlenberg pushed the lead to 28-9 nearly four minutes later before stretching the first-half lead to as large as 41-19 with 1:36 to play. Jumpers from Mike Wallace and Charles Contee in the final two seconds made it a 43-27 game at the break.
• McDaniel closed it to 14 points on the opening possession of the second half but the Mules then ran off 18 of the next 22 points to take a 61-33 lead with 13:15 on the clock. The lead grew as large as 79-41 on a Nicholas Chudy 3-pointer with 4:26 to play en route to the 31-point win.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Muhlenberg, which shot 58.8 percent for the game and 63.2 percent from 3-point range, also held a 43-22 advantage on the glass.
