Tomkins wins the 100 butterfly in regular-season finale

THE SKINNY
Bryn Mawr won the 12 of 14 events to defeat McDaniel 171-67 in the regular-season finale for both teams.

THE LEADERS
Ella Tomkins (Tikokino, Central Hawke's Bay/Mercury Bay Area) led the Green Terror with a victory the 100 butterfly (1:02.52) and was also part of the winning 400 free relay. She also placed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:19.67.
Hannah Cehelsky (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln Sudbury Regional), Abby Cook (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor), and Amanda Thompson (Drexel Hill, Pa./Friends Central) joined Tomkins on the winning relay, combining for a time of 3:55.17.

FOR THE FOES
• Teagan Rooney led the Owls with three wins. Individually, she won the 200 free (2:03.80) and 500 free (5:27.44). She was part of the winning 200 medley relay that opened the meet with a combined time of 1:59.87.
• Maya Schneider was also a triple winner, taking the 100 backstroke (1:05.48) and 200 IM (2:23.88) as well as part of the 200 medley relay. She added a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:50.31).
• Kit Briggs recorded two victories on the day, touching first in both breaststroke events. She finished the 100 in 1:14.80 and the 200 in 2:45.39.
• Melanie Golden was part of the winning 200 medley relay. Individually, she was first in teh 200 backstroke (2:20.45) and second in teh 100 backstroke (1:05.68).
• Vivian Sandifer won the 1000 freestyle (11:21.13) and placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:34.76.
• Kelly Peterson added a two-win day. In addition to being part of the winning 200 medley relay, she finished first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.78.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Amanda Thompson finished second in the 1000 freestyle (11:26.05), 100 freestyle (58.55), and 200 IM (2:27.93).
Hannah Cehelsky added third-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:07.18) and 500 freestyle (5:43.36).
Abby Cook was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:20.80) and touched fourth in the 500 freestyle (6:00.89).
Emma Lindell (Frederick, Md./Frederick) placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:12.48). She added a fourth-place finish in the 1000 freestyle (12:34.17).
• Ashley Farrington (Neptune, N.J./Neptune) placed third in the 50 freestyle (28.05 seconds) and fourth in the 200 freestyle (2:15.28).
Anna Petenbrink (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) touched fourth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:51.77.
