Haverford jumped out to a 22-7 lead at the end of the first quarter en route to a 67-37 win over McDaniel.

• Meggie Burgess (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) led the Green Terror with her second double-double of the season, recording 15 points and 12 rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Points from three different Haverford players staked the hosts to a 7-0 lead just 2:01 into the game. Two Mallory Conroy (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) layups and a Meggie Burgess jumper helped close the deficit to 9-6 with 6:21 on the clock but then McDaniel went the next 14 minutes without a field goal. The Fords scored eight straight and finished the quarter on a 13-1 run.
• After Julia Ryan (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) hit two free throws to make it a 22-9 game just 44 seconds into the second quarter, Haverford went on an 18-0 run. Burgess hit two free throws in the final second of the quarter to make it a 40-11 game.
• Keyed by five points from Burgess, the Green Terror started the third quarter on a 7-2 run before Haverford pushed the lead to 47-20 on three Lauren Howard free throws. The rest of the third quarter was played in a four-point window.
• An 11-1 Haverford run in the fourth quarter gave the hosts their largest lead of the game at 67-33 before a pair of Burgess jumpers in the final two minutes set the final margin.
