THE SKINNY
McDaniel put together a 13-0 run midway through the first half to break open a tie game and did not trail the rest of the way in a 72-63 win over Franklin & Marshall.

THE LEADERS
Charles Contee (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) led the Green Terror with 15 points to go with three assists and two steals.
• Mike Wallace (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
• Carter Truby (Sykesville, Md./Century) rounded a trio of double-digit scorers with 12 points.

FOR THE FOES
• Solomon Mathis led the Diplomats with 25 points on 10 of 17 shooting. He was also 5-for-7 from the line.
• Rinny Giir chipped in 18 points and six rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Carter Truby opened the scoring with a layup 1:38 into the game. After an Omar Nichols 3-pointer a minute later, Josh Arruda (Morristown, Pa./Pennsbury) hit two free throws with 15:43 on the clock. Travis Cumber put Franklin & Marshall back in front by one before a Charles Contee three-point play with 13:19 remaining gave the hosts a two-point edge. Josh Seidmean tied the game at 7-all with 12:54 showing before a Contee steal and layup less than a minute later sparked the game-changing run.
• Truby drained a 3-pointer from the wing and Mike Wallace scored four straight to open up a 16-7 lead with 9:56 showing. Layups from Arruda and Kaelen Kanealey (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) hit layups to cap the 13-0 run two minutes later. The Green Terror pushed the lead to 15 three times over the remainder of the half before a Solomon Mathis three-point play with 11 ticks remaining made it a 32-20 game at the break.
• After a back-and-forth first six minutes of the second half, Rinny Giir scored five straight points to close the deficit to 44-36 with 13:03 to play. Three Giir free throws with 9:21 remaining made it a 54-49 game before McDaniel responded with a 7-2 burst over the next 3:26 to push the lead back to double digits. The Diplomats tallied six of the next 10 points to pull within six with 4:04 to play but that's as close F&M could get.

THE INSIDE STORY
Kaelen Kanealey chipped in seven points, three assists, and two steals to go with a game-high eight rebounds. McDaniel outrebounded Franklin & Marshall 35-27 for the game.
• The second half featured 30 total fouls called and 44 free throws after just 13 fouls and 10 free throws in the first half.
