THE FACTS
McDaniel finishes fourth
What:
Centennial Conference (CC) men's golf championship
When: Saturday-Sunday, Apr. 25-26
Where: Hershey Country Club (East) – Hershey, Pa.

THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel carded five rounds of 80 or better over the two days to finish fourth in the Centennial Conference championship at Hershey Country Club. The Green Terror posted a two-day score of 656, registering a first-round score of 326 and second-round total of 330.

THE LEADERS
• Ryan Bloomer (Hoosick Falls, N.Y./Hoosick Falls), playing in his first collegiate 36-hole tournament, posted a second-round score of 79 to finish with a two-day score of 159 and finish tied for sixth place overall.
• Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) matched Bloomer's final total to record his fifth top-10 finish of the season. McGarry flipped Bloomer's script with a 79 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday.

FOR THE FOES
• Franklin & Marshall won the team title on the final hole of the tournament, posting a two-day score of 624 to win by one stroke over Gettysburg. The Diplomats rallied from a three-stroke deficit after Saturday, trailing the Bullets, 311-314.
• Gettysburg's Quinn Greene took home the individual crown with a score of 148 (71-77) by three shots.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Joe Graceffa (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) finished 18th for the Green Terror with a score of 166, carding an 80 on Saturday and 86 on Sunday.
• Mike Mandel (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) finished 22nd with a score of 175 (90-85).
• Ben Diskin (Charlotte, N.C./Cannon School) was 23rd with a score of 178 (87-91).

THE INSIDE STORY
• A tough course set up coupled with windy conditions produced the highest 36-hole totals at the championship in 10 years (Gettysburg's 624 after 36 holes in 2011). The last time a first-place team had a 36-hole score higher than Franklin & Marshall's winning score was 2006 when McDaniel led with a score of 635 after 36 holes.
• Ryan Bloomer's score of 159 was the best by any freshman in the field.
Ryan McGarry recovered from a five-putt, triple-bogey that included two 50-plus-foot putts on the first hole on Sunday to play the final 17 holes at +6.
• It was the first 36-hole tournament of the season for the Green Terror.
