THE SKINNY
McDaniel won four events in a tri-meet split at St. Mary's (Md.), defeating Stevenson 142-33 while falling to the hosts, 102-93.
THE LEADERS
• Ella Tomkins (Tikokino, Central Hawkie's Bay/Mercury Bay Area School) led the Green Terror with a pair of wins on the afternoon, touching first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:21.77 and anchoring the 200 freestyle relay (1:46.22) to a victory. She also finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.40 seconds.
• Hannah Cehelsky (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln Sudbury Regional) posted a pair of individual wins, touching first in the 1000 free (12:31.60) and 500 free (5:48.84). She also placed third in the 100 freestyle (1:00.99).
• Amanda Thompson (Drexel Hill, Pa./Friends Central), Ashley Farrington (Neptune, N.J./Neptune), and Abby Cook (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) joined Tomkins on the winning relay.
FOR THE FOES
• Anna Kidd was a triple winner for the Seahawks, touching first in the 200 freestyle (2:02.72), 200 IM (2:19.37), and 100 freestyle (55.92 seconds).
• Leila McCloskey and Bailey Edgren also recorded individual wins for St. Mary's. McCloskey placed first in the 50 freestyle (26.15) while Edgren won the 200 breaststroke (2:39.40).
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Emma Lindell (Frederick, Md./Frederick) finished second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 12:33.91. She also had a fourth-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:42.20) and a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM (2:35.80).
• Amanda Thompson touched second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:06.10 and was also second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.02 seconds.
• Abby Cook placed second in the 200 IM (2:27.82) and 200 back (2:24.41).
• Ashley Farrington was second in the 500 free (5:50.26) and third in the 200 free (2:09.79).
• Signe Kula (Barrington, N.H./Oyster River) was third in the 50 free (28.90 seconds).
