From there, the first quarter featured three ties and six lead changes. Five Ellie Glass (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) points to close the period gave the hosts a 16-13 edge.
• An Ellie Connelly (Sharpsburg, Md./Boonsboro) jumper pushed the lead to five in the early part of the second quarter before Savannah Wilson drained a pair of triples to once again give the Spartans the lead with 5:45 on the clock. The teams traded baskets before a Cassidy Arnold layup sparked a 10-1 close to the quarter and gave York a 31-23 lead at the break.
