McDaniel scored twice in the first 28 minutes of its NCAA tournament first-round game and the defense took over from there to top Penn State-Harrisburg, 2-0.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• McDaniel controlled play on the Lions' side of the field for most of the first half. In the 23rd minute, Hannah Schepers turned to survey the defense just inside midfield. She took a few dribbles forward and blasted a shot over the keeper to give McDaniel the 1-0 lead.
• In the 28th minute, Maddie Schwartz collected a pass from Allison Storm (Abingdon, Md./Harford Tech) and finished it to extend the Green Terror lead heading into the break.

• McDaniel finished with advantages of 20-4 in shots and 8-3 in corner kicks.
• The Green Terror, hosting an NCAA tournament regional for the second time, improved to 3-0 in NCAA tournament games at home.
• McDaniel tied the program record for wins in a season with 18 victories.
