McDaniel, ranked seventh in the latest United Soccer Coaches Div. III poll and third in the third in the second NCAA regional rankings, controlled a game with few opportunities but converted once in each half for a 2-0 win at Washington (Md.).

• Jessica Weinoldt (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield) broke up the shutout for the Green Terror, connecting on a header in the first half.
• Olivia Moskunas (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) added the insurance tally in the second half.

• Elena Hilario took three of the Shorewomen's four shots on the afternoon.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• McDaniel converted 22 minutes into the game when Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./Saint Mark's) lined up a free kick and Jessica Weinoldt headed it into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.
• In the 58th minute, Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) hit a streaking Olivia Moskunas, who beat the keeper for the final margin.

• McDaniel edge Washington in both shots and corner kicks 6-4 and 2-1, respectively.
• The Green Terror secured no worse than the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CC tournament.
