THE SKINNY
Facing a pressure attack for 90 minutes, McDaniel's defense stood strong time and time again to hold the Centennial Conference's top-ranked offense in check. Gettysburg was limited to just one tally late in the first half for a 1-0 victory.

THE LEADERS
• Jonathan Mangione (Greer, S.C./JL Mann) anchored the Green Terror defense with six saves.

FOR THE FOES
• Pape Diallo scored the game's lone goal to lead the Bullets.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• On a corner kick in the 40th minute, Connor Fife knocked a header towards the net that deflected off the crossbar and down to a crashing Pape Diallo's outstretched foot. He blasted it into the back of the net to give the Bullets a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
• McDaniel had a pair of chances late in the second half. Gage Souder (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Red Land) and Brandon Morse (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) both had chances inside the box but could not convert but the Gettysburg defense did its own work late to preserve the shutout win.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with advantages of 18-7 in shots and 8-2 in corner kicks.
• McDaniel played in its eight game that was decided by one goal or fewer.
• The Bullets entered the game as the conference's top scoring offense at 2.62 goals per game. The Green Terror was just the fifth team to limit Gettysburg to one goal or fewer.
