• Veronica Gibbons one-touched an Ally Scheve cross while diving for a 1-0 Swarthmore lead 13:23 into the contest.
• That lead held until Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./St. Mark's) deflected home a Isabela Soares (Monroe Twp., N.J./Monroe Twp.) cross to draw McDaniel even with 5:04 to play.
• Just 19 seconds later, Elaina Kluttz ripped a low shot from outside the box past the diving keeper for the game winner.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Katherine Carstensen (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) made three saves for McDaniel.
• The Green Terror finished wth a 12-4 advantage in shots and 7-4 edge in corner kicks,
• With the goal in the 14th minute, it was the first goal of the season alllwed by the McDaniel defense, snapping a scoreless stretch of 1235 minutes, 44 seconds that dated back to late in the 2019 season.
