THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel sent seven wrestlers to compete at the Northeast Futures Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg. There was no team score at the event.

THE LEADERS
• Deontae Frederick (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) led the Green Terror with a fourth-place finish at 157. His day opened with a bye before he earned an 8-3 win over Artie Mabask (Washington and Lee) and 12-0 victory over Alexander Michelman (Hunter) to advance to the semifinals. In the semis, Frederick was pinned by eventual champion Austin Lamb (RIT) in 1:50. Frederick earned a forfeit win into the third-place bout, where he was pinned by York's Eddie Williams 29 seconds into the second period.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Skyler Minutelli (Sparrows Point, Md./Sparrows Point) notched back-to-back falls to open the day at 149. He recorded a 31-second pin of Sophia Rodriguez (Hunter) and a 1-minute, 56-second pin of Alec Martin (Wilkes) before Ryan Burgbacher (Cortland) sent Minutelli to the consolation bracket with a 12-0 match Kyle Tino (Wilkes) ended Minutelli's day with a 2-minute, 1-second fall.
• Isaiah Fosque (Laurel, Md./Laurel) opened his day at 141 with a 5-minute, 36-second pin of Hunter's Elliot Natanov. Trevor Mastorio (Stevens) then topped Fosque, 12-7. In the consolation bracket, Russ Zimmerman (Washington and Lee) recorded a 7-1 win over Fosque.
