THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel used a 12-0 run over a six-minute stretch of the second half to open up a 50-43 lead midway through the period en route to an 81-66 win at Haverford.

THE LEADERS
Dragan Hornatko (Baltimore, Md./Glenelg Country Day School) netted 28 points to lead the Green Terror, including hitting 5 of 7 3-pointers.
Kaelen Kanealey (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) added a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
• Mike Wallace (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) added 13 points.
Sam Beverly (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) chipped in 13 points.

FOR THE FOES
• Jesse Turkson led the Fords with 15 points.
• Joe Hartman added 14 points.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a back-and-forth first three-and-a-half minutes, four points from Joe Hartman keyed an 8-0 Haverford run to open up a 14-6 lead with 14:42 on the clock. McDaniel closed to within three four times – the final coming on a Kaelen Kanealey 3-pointer with 5:36 remaining. Hartman, however, responded with a triple of his own to make it 30-24. The Fords built the lead back to eight but Dragan Hornatko's second triple of the first half closed the deficit to 38-33 at the break.
• A Jesse Turkson three-point play gave the hosts a 43-38 lead just 2:22 into the second half. A minute later, Kanealey hit a layup to spark the 12-0 game-changing run. Five different Green Terror players scored during the 6-minute, 3-second stretch that built a 50-43 advantage with 10:36 on the clock. A Joe Wujciak three-point play momentarily halted the run but a Sam Beverly layup and Hornatko 3-pointer stretched the lead to nine. Another Hornatko triple made it a 65-51 game with 6:43 to play. A Jonathan Lang 3-pointer and Turkson layup off a steal in the backcourt trimmed the margin to 73-64 with 57.7 seconds left but that was the only time the deficit was in single digits for the final 7:15 of the game.

THE INSIDE STORY
• The 28 points established a new career best for Dragan Hornatko. It was the sophomore's first career 20-point outing.
• It was Kaelen Kanealey's first career double-double. The 14 points and 13 rebounds were both career highs.
