THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel put together a 19-3 run that spanned parts of the third and fourth quarter to open up a double-digit lead and top Stockton, 50-44.

THE LEADERS
• Mallory Conroy (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) led the Green Terror with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
• Jamese Word (Belmont, Mass./Lexington Christian Academy) contributed nine points, two assists and five steals in the balanced attack.

FOR THE FOES
• Emily Donzanti led the Ospreys with 11 points.
• Kiley Gelston led the way on the glass with 15 rebounds, part of a 52-40 rebounding advantage for the hosts.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After an Ionyonia Alves layup staked Stockton to a 2-0 lead on its first possession, a Jamese Word steal-and-layup coupled with a Liv Storer (Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia/Galen Catholic College) jumper 34 seconds later gave McDaniel a 4-2 edge with 7:41 to play in the opening period. The Green Terror stretched the lead to three on two occasions but an Amanee DeBarry layup and two Hallee Porricelli free throws in the final 1:25 gave the hosts a 13-11 edge after 10 minutes.
• Jayce Klingenberg (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) hit a jumper on the first possession of the second quarter and Word canned a trey 90 seconds later for a three-point edge. Alves capped a period that featured four ties and six lead changes with a layup in the final 14 seconds to give the Ospreys a 22-21 edge in the break.
• Tied at 26-all after two Emily Metzger (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) free throws with 8:21 remaining in the third quarter, Kiley Gelston hit a jumper and Emily Donzanti drained two free throws for a 30-26 edge a minute later. A Metzger jumper, however, with 6:25 on the clock started the game-changing 19-3 run that lasted the next 8:33. Trailing 31-28, baskets from Storer and Mallory Conroy put the Green Terror in front for good with 2:12 remaining. Meggie Burgess (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) stretched the lead to three before Lajerah Wright converted on the break. Burgess, however, drained a triple with 13 ticks remaining for a 37-33 lead entering the final period.
• Five straight points from Conroy and a Natalie Mehl (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) 3-pointer gave McDaniel its largest lead of the game at 45-33. Stockton closed to within 47-41 with 43 seconds left but Word went 3-for-4 from the line in the final 28 seconds to secure the win.

THE INSIDE STORY
Mallory Conroy's 11 rebounds established a career best. It was also the freshman's first collegiate double-double.
• The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Green Terror, dating back to the opening weekend of the season.
• The 44 points allowed was the fewest in any game by McDaniel this season.
