THE SKINNY STORY
For the second time this season, McDaniel took a scoreless draw into the second overtime. For the second time, the Green Terror converted a penalty kick for a 1-0 win – this time defeating Wesley.
THE LEADERS
• Randy Hilleary (Bonney Lake, Wash./Skyline) converted his second double-overtime PK game-winner, finding the back of the net in the 102nd minute.
• Matt Hays (Reston, Va./South Lakes) needed to make one save for the shutiout win.
FOR THE FOES
• Jason Sommer made one save in goal for the Wolverines.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Neither team was able to find the back of the net until Hilleary converted just 1:42 into the second overtime.
THE INSIDE STORY
• McDaniel improved to 6-0 for the first time in program history.
• The Green Terror finished with a 16-8 advantage in shots and held possession for just over half of the game.
