Pabon records pin in victory

THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel won four of the first five bouts to jump out to a 17-3 lead en route to a 23-19 victory over Scranton in the final match of the Green Terror Duals.

THE LEADERS
Steven Pabon (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) led the Green Terror with a 1-minute, 30-second pin at 133.
• Tony Wuest (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) added a 55-second fall at 197.

FOR THE FOES
• Aidan McNally led the Royals with a first-period technical fall at 184.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Matthew Murawski staked Scranton to a 3-0 lead with a 4-0 win at 125.
• Steven Pabon responded with the first-period fall before Ryker Eckenbarger (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) added a 7-5 win at 141 to take a 9-3 lead in the match.
Isaiah Fosque (Laurel, Del./Laurel) followed with a 14-5 win at 149 before Alexander LaVeck (Marriottsville, Md./McDonogh) won 11-2 at 157 for a 17-3 lead.
• Technical falls from Jeremiah Oakes and Aidan McNally around a William Laughlin 1-0 win at 174 closed the match to within 17-16.
• Tony Wuest got his third fall of the day and seventh of the season just 55 seconds in to seal the victory.
• Kevin Connelly wrapped up the day with a 4-1 win at heavyweight.
