THE SKINNY STORY
Ursinus doubled up McDaniel in the first half and kept the lead between 15 and 25 points for the entire second half, keying a 68-53 win.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Anna Mondoro hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first 3:20 around a pair of Toni Suler baskets and a pair of Aliyah Stephens free throws for a 6-all deadlock. Lydia Konsantzer, however, hit a back-to-back layups to give Ursinus the lead for good. After a Jayce Klingenberg (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) jumper made it a 10-8 game, Konstanzer converted on the break with 3:54 showing to spark a 6-0 burst that stretched the lead to eight en route to a 21-12 lead after the first period.
• Five straight points from the Bears pushed the lead to 26-12 with 6:54 showing in the second quarter. A Mondoro triple made it a 32-18 game but Maya Kornfeld and Konstanzer each hit two free throws in the final 1:55 to make it a 36-18 score at the break.
• A Stephens layup 41 seconds into the third quarter gave the hosts a 20-point lead for the first time. The third-quarter advantage swelled as large as 24 when Konstanzer hit a layup to make it 47-23 with 6:10 on the clock. Eight straight Green Terror points closed the deficit to 47-31 en route to a 50-32 score entering the final period.
• A Konstanzer three-point play gave Ursinus its largest lead of the game at 65-40 with 3:01 to play. Points from Ellie Connelly (Sharpsburg, Md./Boonsboro), Sara Pilkey and Klingenberg on the next three McDaniel possessions trimmed the deficit to 65-46. Two Connelly free throws and a Hannah Zajac (Houston, Texas/Clear Creek) layup in the final 25 seconds set the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• McDaniel shot just 25.8 percent from the floor while Ursinus shot 45.5 percent.
