• Kirsten Gibson left-footed the ball past a diving keeper just 4:17 into the game for a 1-0 lead.
• Maddie Schwartz finished an assist from Kathryn Dixon (New Bern, N.C./New Bern) with 8:14 to play for an insurance goal.

• Katherine Carstensen registerd her first collegiate shutout with the five-save performance.
• Each team took 12 shots. McDaniel had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
• It was the first points of the season for Gibson, Schwartz and Dixon.
