THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel closed out a sweep of Meredith with a 26-24 victory in the third set. The Green Terror recorded wins of 25-17 and 25-19 to open its second match of the opening night at Gettysburg, closing out a 2-0 first day.

THE LEADERS
• Lauren Wells (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) recorded eight kills and 12 assists to lead the attack. She also did not have an attacking error in 11 attempts.
• Marlowe Embry (San Jose, Calif./J.H. Pitman) added team highs of nine kills and 11 digs.
• Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) added 10 digs and four assists.
• Anna Jezerski (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) established early career bests of seven kills and three block solos.

FOR THE FOES
• Meredith recorded 10 aces in the match.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Freshman Anna Jezerski played all three sets and recorded seven kills.
