HOBOKEN, N.J. – Alvontae Drummond (Lincoln, Del./Milford) won the 141-pound weight class to lead McDaniel at the Centennial Conference (CC) wrestling championship hosted by Stevens on Saturday.
Scoring:
- The Green Terror placed sixth at the eight-team championship with 30.5 points. Stevens won its third straight title with 95.5 points, outdistancing second-place Urinus by 16 points.
Champions: The following athletes won their weight class at the championship:
- Drummond, the top seed, opened his day with a 59-second pin of Muhlenberg's Joshua Hickey. In the semifinals, Drummond notched a 7-3 victory over fifth-seeded Alfred Corradetti of Ursinus. In a battle of the top two seeds for the title, Drummond captured his first title after a runner-up finish in 2016 with a 13-3 win over Gettysburg's Colin Devlin.

- Jake Pooton (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) placed fourth at 184. He dropped a 9-2 decision to third-seeded Cody Richmond (Urisnus) to open the day. In the opening round of the consolation bracket, Pooton topped Austin Roskos (Gettysburg) by major decision, 10-1. Pooton advanced to the third-place match with a 3-1 win over Washington and Lee's Rexx Hallyburton. In the third-place match, second-seeded Danny Moore (Stevens) defeated Pooton, 7-1.
- Billy Emerson (Germantown, Md./Watkins Mill) placed fourth at heavyweight. The No. 5 seed was pinned by Washington and Lee's Mathew Kaminer 17 seconds into the second period before advancing to the consolation semifinals with a 1-minute, 33-second fall of Pete Andrich (Stevens). He earned a medical forfeit to advance to the third-place bout, where he dropped an 8-1 decision to top-seeded Matan Peleg from Ursinus.
