DANBURY, Conn. – McDaniel learned on Monday afternoon that its season will continue with a selection to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III men's soccer tournament.
The Green Terror (9-6-2) earned the No. 3 seed in one of the four pods, traveling to Annville, Pa., and the campus of Lebanon Valley. McDaniel will take on Alvernia (10-9-1) on Saturday first-round game at 2 p.m. Lebanon Valley will host John Jay in the first game at 11 a.m. The winners will meet in Sunday's quarterfinals at 1 p.m.
The winners of the four pods will advance to the semifinals and championship on Nov. 18-19 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
Senior Raul Escobar (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) leads the team with seven goals and 15 points. Sophomore Randall Hilleary (Bonney Lake, Wash./Skyline) has chipped in with five goals while freshman Nick Bowman (York, Pa./York Suburban) has four markers.
Senior Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) has a 1.08 goals-against average and .783 save percentage in goal.
