WESTMINSTER, Md. – Haverford scored in the 83rd minute after a defensive battle to defeat McDaniel 1-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.

Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) led the Green Terror (2-3-2, 0-1-1 CC) with three saves.

Michael Carr finally broke through the Fords (5-1-2, 2-0 CC), finishing a pass from Chris Richards with just 7:34 to play in regulation.

In a game played primarily in the midfield, Haverford finished the day with an 8-2 edge in shots and 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
