TOWSON, Md. – McDaniel settled in after a back-and-forth start to the match to record a 3-0 win over Goucher in non-conference volleyball action on Thursday.

Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) led the Green Terror (6-9) with 14 digs and two aces.

Kelly Budge paced the Gophers (1-8) with 10 kills.

McDaniel ultimately prevailed after a back-and-forth start to the first set 25-15 before cruising to a 25-11 win in the second set. The Green Terror rounded out the sweep with a 25-19 victory.

Lexi Corral (Tucson, Ariz./Gaithersburg [Md.]) led the attack with five kills while Alexis Duday (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) and Allie Lugar (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) added four kills each.

Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) and Lauren Wells (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) added seven assists each. Moyer had four digs and an ace while Wells added a block.

Catherina Park (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) recorded a team-best four aces while Bauman chipped in a pair of aces.

Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) added eight digs.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Bryn Mawr on Saturday. Match time is 4 p.m.
