WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored with 65 seconds remaining in regulation to eventually force a 1-all draw with Goucher in non-conference men's soccer action on Wednesday.

Adam Wise (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) scored his first goal for the Green Terror (2-2-2), forging the team's second tie in as many outings.

Brandon Cohen paced the Gophers (4-1-3) with a goal in the 84th minute.

After a scoreless first 83 minutes, Goucher earned a corner kick. Evan Phillips sent the ball to the back post, where Cohen was waiting to knock it home for his team-leading sixth goal of the season with 6:06 to play.

McDaniel's Billy Rodgers (Hopewell, N.J./Montgomery) took a shot from the left wing as the clock was ticking towards one minute. The keeper deflected the ball up and off the crossbar. It bounced out to Wise, who was able to rebound it back into the net for the equalizer.

The Green Terror controlled play for the majority of the two 10-minute extra sessions but neither team was able to get a quality look for the game-winner.

McDaniel finished with a slim 13-11 edge in shots, including a decisive 6-1 advantage in the first half.

Goucher held the edge in corner kicks, 6-5.

Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made two saves for the Green Terror while Daniel Hendry had seven for the Gophers.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
