Jasmine Soriano (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) led the Green Terror (5-9) with eight kills and seven digs.
Morgan Lowe paced the River Hawks (11-3) with 11 kills and hit .346 on the night. Erin Byrne added 10 kills and a .333 hitting percentage.
Behind three kills from Lowe, Susquehanna built a 17-6 lead in the opening set.
Trailing 18-8, McDaniel took advantage of an attack error to spark a 10-3 run that closed the deficit to 21-18.
Three straight Green Terror errors and a Hannah Lyons kill closed out a 25-18 win.
Kills from Soriano and Allie Lugar (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) keyed a 4-0 start for the Green Terror in Set No. 2.
The lead held steady at 9-5 before a Lowe kill sparked an 8-2 counter that gave the visitors a 13-11 lead.
Tied for the fifth time in the set at 22-all, Tara Mahoney put down back-to-back kills to bring Susquehanna to set point.
A Lexi Corral (Tucson, Ariz./Gaithersburg [Md.]) kill made it a 24-23 score but another error gave the River Hawks a 25-23 victory.
The third set featured 10 ties and six lead changes before a final surge from Susquehanna.
Trailing 21-20, Lowe and Lyons each recorded a kill to turn the one-point deficit into a one-point lead. Back-to-back errors and a Lyons kill sealed the 25-21 win.
Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) added 16 digs and two aces for the Green Terror. Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) chipped in 16 assists and six digs.
McDaniel returns to action at Goucher on Thursday. Match time is 7 p.m.
