YORK, Pa. – McDaniel made a lone second-half goal stand for a 1-0 win over Kean on the first day of the York (Pa.) Women's Soccer Classic on Saturday.

Kirsten Gibson (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) led the Green Terror (2-0) with the game's only goal.

Lauren Healey led the Cougars (1-3) with seven saves in goal.

Gibson rocketed a shot from the top into the upper-left corner of the net at the 56:28 mark.

Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) made four saves for McDaniel, which finished with an 11-9 edge in shots.

The Green Terror also had an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.

McDaniel returns to action at York (Pa.) on Sunday. Game time is 3 p.m.
