WESTMINSTER, Md. – Eastern Mennonite made a lone first-half goal stand for a 2-0 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday.

Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mills) led the Green Terror (2-2) with a pair of saves in goal.

Juan Luna scored for the Royals (2-1-2), converting a penalty kick at the 22:10 mark.

Joshua Chiquillo added an insurance goal, scoring with just 5:59 to play for a 2-0 lead.

McDaniel finished with an 11-7 advantage but Matthew Overacker made five saves in goal.

Raul Escobar (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) and Billy Rodgers (Hopewell, N.J./Montgomery) had four shots apiece to lead the Green Terror.

McDaniel returns to action at Muhlenberg for the Centennial Confernece opener on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
