WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel will travel to Gettysburg, Pa., to take on Gettysburg in the first-round of the 2016 Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball championship on Wednesday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The fifth-seeded Green Terror (14-11, 10-8 CC) faces the fourth-seeded Bullets (17-8, 12-6 CC). The winner advances to Friday's semifinals at top-seeded Franklin & Marshall (20-5, 15-3 CC) in the day's second semifinal.

The day's first semifinal pits second-seeded Swarthmore (19-6, 13-5 CC) against third-seeded Dickinson (13-12, 12-6 CC), slated to begin at 6 p.m. The day's second semifinal will begin at 8 p.m. or 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

The championship game will held on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Admission for all games is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Youths 12 and under as well as students from participating institutions, who present their ID, are free.

The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on Thursday, Mar. 3. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday at 12:30 p.m.

McDaniel is seeking its first CC championship and berth in the NCAA tournament.

Tim Stewart (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) leads the team and is third in the CC in scoring (15.8 ppg). He also leads the team in rebounding (6.6 rpg). He also has 41 assists.

Wes Brooks (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) is second on the team and fifth in the CC in scoring (15.0 ppg). He also has team bests of 62 3-pointers and 61 steals. He also has 42 assists.
