Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – McDaniel scored twice in the second half to secure a 3-0 victory over Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Wednesday.
Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Green Terror (10-0, 3-0 CC) with a goal and an assist. Her helper in the 88th minute was the 28th of her career, breaking a tie with Melissa Merson for the program record. It also moved her into sole possession of sixth place in conference history.
The defense once again did its job, securing the team's conference-record ninth straight shutout. McDaniel has not allowed a goal in the last 838 minutes, 9 seconds of game action.
Amanda Masterson led the Red Devils (4-4-4, 0-3-1 CC) with eight saves in goal.
Christina Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) staked the Green Terror to a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute, collecting the ball on a scramble after a corner kick.
Hill put back her own miss, collecting a loose ball on a scramble to push the lead to 2-0 at the 69:11 mark.
On a counter late, Hill served the ball over the top to Katie Kirschenmann (Damascus, Md./Damacus), who took it 50 yards and beat the keeper 1-on-1 for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.
Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) made five saves in net for McDaniel.
The Green Terror finished with a 20-9 advantage in shots and 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
McDaniel returns to action at home against No. 14 Messiah on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
