Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – Johns Hopkins converted a pair of penalty kicks in the first 15 minutes en route to a 6-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Wednesday.
Kerry Shutt (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) led the Green Terror (5-8-3, 0-6-2 CC) with three shots, including hitting the post on a penalty kick in the 23rd minute.
Victor Osio scored two goals to lead the Blue Jays (11-3-2, 5-3 CC), who secured a CC playoff berth with the victory.
Osio converted the first PK at the 12:47 mark before Samy Ramadane knocked home his own penalty kick just 1:36 later.
After Shutt missed on the third awarded penalty of the game, Sebastian Salanthe blasted home a shot in the 30th minute.
Gerrit Church finished in front of the goal in the final minute of the first half to make it a 4-0 game.
Osio dribbled from midfield and finished from the left side for a 5-0 lead just 1:02 into the second half.
Arden Chew capped the scoring in the 65th minute.
Johns Hopkins finished with a 15-6 advantage in shots and 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Green Terror concludes the season at home against Gettysburg on Saturday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
